Of the two Kashmirian versions of the *Bṛihatkathā*, Kshemendra’s is very brief, and Somadeva’s long enough for us to glean much information about yantras. These two works may be noticed together. We have here material bearing on three classes of yantras, dolls and entertainment pieces, mechanical men and women, and aerial vehicles.
