v1.c13.14
Sankalia states that the people of Langhnaj who lived in the sandy undulating plains of northern and central Gujarat manufactured microliths, e.g. blades, lunates, trapezes, triangles, scrapers, points and a few burins, fluted as well as amorphous cores. The material is chert, agate, carnelian and only occasionally quartz. Heavy tools so far are very few—only one mace-head of a digging stick of quartzite was excavated. They hunted rhinoceros (*Rhinoceros unicornis*), hog deer (*Axis porcinus*), Indian buffalo, antelope (*Boselaphus tragocamelus*), black buck (*Antilope cervicapra*) and wild dog.
