Description for preparing mineral acids by distillation :—*Samkhadravarasa* or liquid for dissolving conch-shells ; this is to be prepared by distilling a mixture of alum, sal-ammoniac, saltpetre and sulphur. Cowrie-shells and metals dropped into the liquid are at once dissolved.
