Having thus proved that Mahāyāna of Java was from Nālandā, he proceeds to ascertain by a detailed examination of various images found at Nālandā and Java, the syllogistic conclusion whether or not, the Java temples show the artistic influence of Nālandā, as the Java temples were Mahāyānist.¹
