recently found at Nālandā, a Buddhist ascetic Vipulaśrimitra erected a monastery ‘an ornament of the world’. Chatterji, who has edited the epigraph, thinks that the monastery built by the ascetic was identical with Monastery No. VII in whose debris the inscription was discovered. *See Ep.
