Nīlakaṇṭha Somayājī (1444-1545) mentions in the colophon to his *Aryabhaṭīya-bhāṣya*, Gaṇitapāda, Ravi as his teacher on Vedānta. He pays his respects to Ravi also in the beginning of his *Siddhāntadarpaṇa*. Ravi was also an erudite scholar in Jyotiṣa and has been identified as the author of *Acāradīpikā*, an elaborate metrical commentary on the *Muhūrtadīpikā*.²
