A unique manuscript of the Uparāgapariccheda of a Pañcabodha-śataka (Pañcabodha V) is known. In 47 verses, this section of the work sets out the computation of solar and lunar eclipses, using its own revised multipliers, divisors and other constants. For the calculation of the precession of the equinox, it mentions the epoch *prauḍhaśri-guṇasevya* (17,53,242). This date works out to A.D. 1699 and gives a clue to the date of the author.¹
