A well-known and widely used astronomical work divided into two parts: (a) Gaṇitādhyāya or Grahagaṇita, and (b) Golādhyāya or Grahagola. The first part has the following chs:—(i) Madhyamādhikāra, (ii) Spaṣṭādhikāra, (iii) Tripraśnādhikāra, (iv) Parvasambhavādhikāra, (v) Candragrahaṇādhikāra, (vi) Sūryagrahaṇādhikāra, (vii) Grahachāyādhikāra, (viii) Grahodayāstādhikāra, (ix) Śṛṅgontyadhikāra, (x) Grahayutyadhikāra, (xi) Bhagrahayutyadhikāra, (xii) Pātādhikāra. The second part Golādhyāya is divided into the following 14 chs: (i) Golapraśamsā, (ii) Golasvarūpapraśnādhyāya, (iii) Bhūvanakośa, (iv) Madhyagativāsanā, (v) Sphuṭagativāsanā, (vi) Golabandhādhikāra, (vii) Tripraśnavāsanā, (viii) Grahaṇavāsanā, (ix) Dṛkkarma vāsanā, (x) Śṛṅgonnativāsanā, (xi) Yantrādhyāya, (xii) Ṛtuvarṇana, (xiii) Praśnādhyāya, and (xiv) Jyotpatti. Each part has also been treated as a separate work, and considering the large number of Mss described and catalogued as *Siddhāntaśiromaṇi*, *Gaṇitādhyāya* and *Golādhyāya*, as will be evident from what follows, the whole work and the two parts have been shown separately under manuscript reference. This separation, however, has not been maintained under subsequent sections, e. g., printed texts and translations, etc. In the descriptive catalogues consulted, the *Siddhāntaśiromaṇi* with the author’s own commentary *Vāsanābhāṣya* has in some been shown under *Siddhāntaśiromaṇi* and in others under *Vāsanābhāṣya*. Accordingly, the Mss. noted under *Vāsanābhāṣya* contain both the original text and the author’s own commentary whereas those noted under *Siddhāntaśiromaṇi* may or may not contain the commentary. The same remark is applicable to the two parts, *Gaṇitādhyāya* and *Golādhyāya*.
