This is not a direct commentary on the *Āryabhaṭīya* of Āryabhaṭa 1 but written as a supplement to the commentary by Sūryadeva Yajvan. Yallaya says that the commentary by Sūryadeva Yajvan is obscure and so he gives first the commentary of Sūryadeva Yajvan and then adds his own notes with illustrations; cf. MADRAS/D. xxiv. 13393, where an extract is given.
