In the above calculations, π has been taken to be 3.14. D. gives the value of r as 185 ang. 14 ti. (*madhye śaṅkuṁ nihatya pañcāśītiśatāṅgulena caturdaśatilayuktena parimaṇdala bhramayet*). His value of a is 262 ang. 7 ti (*tasya madhye viṣkambhārdhadvikaraṇyā (r √2) saptatilādhikayā dviṣaṣṭiśatadvayāṅgulayā samacaturaśraṁ kuryāt*). It appears that in giving these values Dvārakanātha used the more approximate correct value of π.
