Bhāravi's poem is also a *vāda* for the glory of life, for a man's honour. Bhāravi has used the terms *śrī* (beauty) and *prakarṣa* (excellence) for it. The former envisaged the beauty of inner world of man, and the latter his acquisitions and proficiency in outer world. This philosophy disapproves the idea of *mokṣa* — the individual salvation. In the debate between Arjuna and Indra in canto XI of his epic, Bhāravi emphatically builds up this philosophy within the poetic form adopting *vāda* designs.
