With his tendency to condemn everything, Kṛśānu unearths the dark sides and uses the method of *vitaṇḍā*. Kṛṣṇa to him is *corajārasikhāmaṇi* (crown of thieves and paramours) and *jagadatisandhātā* (deceiver of the world).⁵⁶ The section on Maharashtra is particularly damaging. Veṅkaṭādhvarin takes note of the compromises that the brāhmaṇas made with the Muslim rulers.⁵⁷
