³¹ In twentieth century, Jai Shankar Prasad, a prominent author in Hindi, wrote *Dhruvasvāminī* — a play in which the widow of the King Rāmagupta, after her husband is killed by his own younger brother Candragupta, marries the latter. In a very elucidative preface to this play, Prasad raised a debate on the legality of widow remarriage and cited the law books of Nārada and Parāśara. For details see “Dhruvasvāminī : Eka Ṭīkā” by me in *Naṭaraṅga* 92, April-June 2012.
