viṣādād, yathā-
vilambam ambhoruha-locanasya
vilokya sambhāvita-vipralambhā |
saṅketa-gehasya nitāntam aṅke
citrāyitā tatra babhūva citrā //
From dejection, as in:
Seeing the delay of the lotus-eyed one / and sensing betrayal, / Citrā, in the lap of the rendezvous cottage, / became completely petrified like a painted figure.
