krodhād, yathā-
khinnāpi gotra-skhalanena pālī
śālīna-bhāvaṃ chalato vyatānīt |
tathāpi tasyāḥ paṭam ārdrayantī
svedāmbu-vṛṣṭiḥ kurdham ācacakṣe //
From anger, as in:
Though distressed by the slip of the tongue naming another, Pālī / maintained an attitude of modest composure as a pretense; / nevertheless, the shower of perspiration soaking her upper garment / revealed her anger.
