14.64

yathā-
śape tubhyaṃ dharma-sthiti-manyu-sarantyā sakhi mayā
viśuddhām ugrābhir muhur api nirasto bhaṇitibhiḥ |
sa mugdhe śyāmātmā tyajati na hi me vartma bata māṃ
jagārāpad-ghorā viracayatu śāstiṃ gṛha-patiḥ //

For example:
‘I swear to you, friend! Though repeatedly turned away with harsh words
that were pure because they flowed from anger at the violation of dharma,
that dark-complexioned youth, O innocent girl, does not leave my path! Alas,
a terrible calamity has swallowed me; let the master of the house devise punishment!’
