māne'tyanta-karkaśā, yathā uddava-sandeśe (53)-
medinyāṃ te luṭhati dayitā mālatī mlāna-puṣpā
tiṣṭhan dvāre ramaṇi vimanāḥ khidyate padmanābhaḥ |
tvaṃ connidrā kṣapayasi niśām rodayantī vayasyā
māne kas te nava-madhurimā taṃ tu nālokayāmi //

Extremely harsh in amorous indignation, as in the Uddhava-sandeśa (53):
“On the ground lies your beloved, with withered mālatī flowers; standing at the door, dejected, Padmanābha grieves;
and you, staying awake, pass the night making your female companions weep. What new sweetness is there in your amorous indignation? I, indeed, see none.”
