sampat-kāle vipat-kāle yā na muñcati vallabham | 95
śīlārjava-guṇopetā sā svakīyā kathitā budhaiḥ ||
Among these, one's own wife: / She who in times of prosperity and in times of misfortune does not abandon her beloved, / and is endowed with the qualities of good conduct and honesty, is called by the wise one's own wife.
