candrodayasya, yathā-
candra-bimbam udayādrim āgataṃ
paśya tena sakhi vañcitā vayam |
atra kiṃ nija-gṛhaṃ nayasva māṃ
tatra vā kim iti vivyathe vadhūḥ ||
[The excitant quality] of moonrise is, for example:
"'Look, the orb of the moon has arrived at the eastern mountain; / we have been deceived by him, O friend! / What is the use of staying here? Take me to my own house— / or what is the use of going there?' Thus the young woman lamented."
