cira-virahiṇor utkaṇṭhārti-ślathīkṛta-gātrayor
navam iva jagaj jātaṃ bhūyaś cirād abhinandatoḥ |
katham api dine dīrghe yāte niśām adhirūḍhayoḥ
prasarati kathā bahvī yūnor yathā na tathā ratiḥ || (amaru. 39)]

"For the two, long separated, their limbs slackened by the pain of longing,
as if welcoming once again after a long time a newly born world,
when the long day had somehow passed and they mounted the night,
