ity upakramya, rāvaṇaḥ (punar nirūpya śārikādhiṣṭhita-vaktraṃ sītā-pratikṛti-yantraṃ): aho matimān māyāmayaḥ | chālito' si janaka-rāja-putryāḥ pratikṛti-samarpaṇena (5.20 padyād anantaram] ity antena mālyavat kapaṭa-vākya-saṃvidhānād abhūtāharaṇam |
— beginning with this, and ending with: Rāvaṇa (observing again the mechanical effigy of Sītā with the maina installed in her mouth): "Oh, clever Māyāmaya! You have deceived me by presenting an effigy of King Janaka's daughter" [after verse 5.20] — because of the arrangement of deceitful words by Mālyavān, this is fabrication of the unreal (abhūtāharaṇa).
