utsedhe mānaṃ gṛhyaṃ cetsthānakaṃ tatprakathyate
vistāre mānaṃ saṃkalpya cāsanaṃ tadudīritam

If the measure is taken in height, that is declared as standing; / determining the measure in width, that is declared as seated;
