atha upasutikājñānam |
lagnacandrānragatairgrahaiḥ syurupasūtikāḥ |
bahirantaśca cakrārddhe dṛśādaśye'nṣavā pare ||

Now, knowledge of the attending midwives:
The attending midwives are known from the planets situated between the ascendant and the Moon: / whether outside or inside [the chamber] from the visible and invisible halves of the cycle, or from other divisions.
