18.14

pākasvāminī lagnage suhṛdi vā varge'sya vā saumye'pi vā prārabdhā śubhadā daśā tridaśaṣaḍlābheṣu vā pākape |
mītricopacayatrikoṇamadane pākeśvarasya sthita-candraḥ satphalaṣodhanāṇī kurute pāpāni cāto'nyathā ||

When the period is begun with the lord of the period in the ascendant, or in a friendly sign, in its own division, or in an auspicious [house], or with the lord of the period in the third, tenth, sixth, or eleventh house, it confers good fortune; / or if the Moon, situated in a friendly, upacaya, trine, or seventh house from the lord of the period, effects purification of good results, and otherwise, evil results.
