18.15

lagnādiṣṭagṛhopagaḥ svabhavane tuṅge suhṛdbhe'thavā pākeśaḥ śubhamitravīkṣaṇayutastatpākabhuktau śubham |
kendre vā yadi koṇago'tīśubhadā pāpāstrīṣaṣṭhāyagā-stuṅgāyopacayeṣu ye balayuvāsteṣāṃ daśāyāṃ śubham ||

When the lord of the period has entered a favorable house from the ascendant, or is in its own house, exaltation, or friendly sign, and is endowed with the aspect of benefics and friends, there is good in that sub-period of the period; / or if it is situated in a cardinal house or a trine, it is exceedingly auspicious; malefics in the third, sixth, and eleventh houses, or those in exaltation and upacaya houses endowed with strength and youth, bring good fortune in their daśā.
