Brihajjataka 23.14

23.14

rāśy aṃśapa uṣṇa kara śīta kara amarejyair nīca adhipa aṃśa gatair ari bhāgagair vā/
ebhyo alpa madhya bahubhiḥ kramaśaḥ prasūtā jñeyāḥ syur abhyupagama kraya garbha dāsaāḥ//(va ti)

When the lords of the sign and navāṃśa, the Sun, the Moon, and Jupiter have gone to degrees of the lord of their debilitation or to enemy degrees, / those born under these, according to whether few, middling, or many [are so situated], should be known respectively as voluntary slaves, purchased slaves, or born slaves.
