Female horoscopy.

24.1

Whatever effect is suitable for women in the male nativity, all that should be stated [of them], or applied to their husbands; / for them, indeed, the husband's death is from the eighth house, but physical appearance is from the ascendant and Moon, and fortune and the husband are from the setting [sign].

24.2

When the ascendant and the Moon are in even signs, a woman is firmly established in her true nature and endowed with good character and ornaments; and when they are aspected by benefics; / when they are in odd signs, she has a male form and disposition; and when joined with or aspected by malefics, she is sinful and deficient in virtues.

24.3

In a sign of Mars, in the navāṃśas of Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus respectively, / [a woman] is corrupted while still a maiden, enters into servitude here, is virtuous, is deceptive, and is endowed with bad conduct.

24.4

In a sign of Venus, [in the same navāṃśas, she is] wicked, a remarried woman, endowed with good qualities, knowledgeable in the arts, and renowned for her virtues; / in a sign of Mercury, she is fraudulent, hermaphroditic, chaste, rich in virtues, and of widespread desires.

24.5

In the sign of the Moon, [in the five navāṃśas, she is] self-willed, a slayer of her husband, endowed with many virtues, an artisan, and unchaste; in the sign of the Sun, she has male conduct, is unchaste, is a queen, has male actions, and is accessible to forbidden men; / in Jupiter's [sign, she has] solitary virtue, little desire for pleasure, extraordinary virtues, is endowed with knowledge, and is chaste; in Saturn's sign, she is a maidservant, delights in the low, is devoted to her husband, is wicked, and produces children, according to their respective navāṃśas.

24.6

This result has been stated according to the triṃśāṃśas associated with the Moon and the ascendant; / one should consider it by distinguishing the strength and weakness of the two.

24.7

If Venus and Saturn are situated in each other's aspect or navāṃśa, or if the navāṃśa belongs to Aquarius in a sign of Venus, / a woman brings to calm the fire of the poison of passion kindled [within her] through women positioned in male postures.

24.8

If the seventh house is empty and weak, [she gets] a base husband; when aspected by benefic planets, a eunuch; if Mercury and Saturn are in the seventh, in a movable sign, [the husband is] always living abroad; / she is abandoned [by her husband] if the Sun is in the seventh house; widowed in childhood if Mars is situated in the seventh sign; and she grows old as a virgin if Saturn is in the seventh house and aspected by malefics.

24.9

She becomes a widow if fiery [malefics] occupy the seventh sign; if they are mixed, she becomes a remarried woman; / when a malefic is weak and situated in the seventh house, being aspected by a benefic, she is deserted by her own husband; / when Venus and Mars occupy each other's navāṃśas, the woman is devoted to another [man]; / or if they are with the Moon in the seventh house, [she is so] then with the consent of her husband.

24.10

If the Moon and Venus are in the ascendant in a sign of Saturn or Mars, she is an unchaste woman along with her mother, if aspected by a malefic; / if the navāṃśa in the seventh is of Mars [and aspected] by Saturn, she has a diseased vulva; if it is in the navāṃśa of a benefic planet, she has beautiful hips and is cherished [by her husband].

24.11

In a sign or navāṃśa of Saturn, the husband is old and foolish; in that of Mars, he is lustful towards women and wrathful; / in that of Venus, handsome, exceedingly fortunate; in that of Mercury, learned and skilled in arts;

24.12

in that of the Moon, subject to passion and gentle; in that of Jupiter, virtuous and possessing conquered senses; / and in that of the Sun, exceedingly gentle in performing sexual acts, when [the seventh house] or the navāṃśa situated in the seventh belongs to the Sun's domicile.

24.13

When the Moon and Venus are in the ascendant, she is full of envy and devoted to pleasure; when Mercury and the Moon are there, skilled in the arts, happy, and full of virtues; / but when Venus and Mercury are there, she is charming, fortunate, and knows the arts; and when all three benefics are there, she possesses numerous riches, comforts, and virtues.

24.14

When a malefic is in the eighth house, widowhood is predicted at the age equal to [the years of] that planet in whose navāṃśa the lord of the eighth house is situated; / when benefics occupy the second house, her death occurs by itself; and when the Moon is in Virgo, Scorpio, Taurus, or Leo, she has few children.

24.15

When Saturn is of medium strength, the Moon, Venus, and Mercury are devoid of strength, / and the rest are endowed with strength, she is harsh-tempered, if there is the rising of an odd sign; / when Jupiter, Mars, Venus, and Mercury are strong, while the sign of the eastern ascendant is even, / she is celebrated on earth, skilled in many treatises, and even a woman expounding the Veda.

24.16

When a malefic is in the seventh, a young woman enters renunciation resembling [that of] the planet situated in the ninth house, without doubt; / at marriage, during the selection of a bridegroom, at the time of giving away [the bride], and also in horary inquiry, all this should be applied.
