Temporal strength and motional strength of planets:
Jupiter, the Sun, and Venus are strong by day, Mercury always, and Saturn, the Moon, and Mars by night; / the lords of the horā, month, day, and year are strong; benefics are strong in the bright [fortnight], others in the dark. / Planets victorious in planetary war, retrograde in motion, and with full rays, / as well as the Sun and Moon when northern, possess motional strength, as spoken by Satyācārya.
