38. According to the Tib. The pādas 8 ab are missing in the Skt. The verse presents an interesting argument for analogy (Skt. upamāna) as a source of knowledge with reference to the law of karma: the law of karma is generalized so as to apply also to cases that are not apparent or directly perceptible (Skt. parokṣa).
