59. The respective maximum lifespan depends on the current kalpa: In the first kalpa it is unlimited, in the last kalpa it is ten years (cf. AKBh on AK III.78 = Pruden 1988–90, vol. 2, 470). These numbers concur with the Pāli tradition; cf., e.g., Cakkavattisīhanādasutta (DN 26).
