70. According to the Tib. (bsnyungs ba byas te ma zos pa). The Skt. manuscript is defective here. Twelve akṣaras are missing, along with a missing word or compound ending in -pano: apatarpaṇam (“fasting during illness”?). Cf. Negi, s.v. bsnyung ba. bsnyung gnas is a well-known fasting practice in Tibetan Buddhism centering on a manifestation of Avalokiteśvara.
