「毗舍婆佛父名善燈，剎利王種，母名稱戒，王所治城名曰無喻。」佛時頌曰：
“The Buddha Viśvabhū’s father was named *Supradīpa, and he was from a lineage of warrior kings. His mother’s name was *Yaśovatī. The King ruled from a city called *Anopamā.”
The Buddha then spoke in verse:
