The Long Āgama Sūtra 15.8

15.8

時，彼梵志於一面坐，白世尊言：「先夜隸車子善宿比丘來至我所，語我言：『大師！我不於佛所修梵行也。所以然者？佛疎外我。』彼人見向說瞿曇過，雖有此言，我亦不受。」

The wanderer sat to one side and said to the Bhagavān, “Last night, the Licchavi monk Sunakṣatra visited me. He said, ‘Great teacher, I’m not practicing the religious life under the Buddha. Why is that? The Buddha is estranged from me.’ That man openly spoke of you as mistaken, though I didn’t accept it on his word.”
