The Bhagavān said to Kāśyapa, “You are still not an arhat, and you don’t know the awakening of an arhat. You aren’t even aware of the name ‘arhat,’ so how could you attain that awakening? You are a blind man without the eyes to see. The Tathāgata has performed so many miracles, yet you say, ‘It’s not the same as the truth I’ve attained.’ You say, ‘I’m able to walk on water.’ Now is the right time. Can you walk on the water with me? You can abandon the wrong views in your mind now, and nothing will cause you to experience this suffering for long.”
