bearing, reading, and extensively and correctly expounding to others this dhāraṇī called 'The Victorious Uṣṇīṣa of All Tathāgatas' is for the purpose of achieving longevity." Then the bodhisattva mahāsattva the noble Avalokiteśvara rose from his seat, folded his palms, and addressed the Blessed One: "Blessed One, please teach it! Sugata, please teach this dhāraṇī called 'The Victorious Uṣṇīṣa of All Tathāgatas'!"
