bālāsaṅgatacārī hi drīgham addhāna śocati |
dukkho bālehi saṃvāso amittehi-r-iva sabbadā |
dhīrā tu sukhasaṃvāsā ñātīnaṃ vā samāgamo ||

For one wandering in the company of fools grieves for a long time;
living with fools is suffering, like [living] with enemies at all times;
but steadfast ones are easy to live with, like the gathering of relatives.
