sāpatrapāḥ satpuruṣā bhavanti na kāmahetor lapayanti santaḥ |
spṛṣṭā hi dukhena tathā sukhena noccāvacāḥ satpuruṣā bhavanti ||
Uv30:52
Virtuous people are modest; for the sake of sensual pleasures the virtuous do not babble.
Indeed, touched by suffering or likewise by happiness, virtuous people do not fluctuate.
