tatha-r-iva śamaṇā prabhūtapraṃñā ayirā ayirapathesu sicchamānā |
jātijarāmaraṇabhayāddittā dukkhāṭṭā vyāyamanti api prāpuṇema śāntiṃ ||

Even so ascetics of abundant wisdom, noble ones training on noble paths,
consumed by the fear of birth, aging, and death, oppressed by suffering, strive: "May we attain peace!"
