na tad dṛḍhaṃ bandhanam āhur āryā yad āyasaṃ dāravaṃ balbajaṃ vā |
saṃraktacittasya hi mandabuddheḥ putreṣu dāreṣu ca yā apekṣā ||

The noble do not say that bond is strong which is made of iron, wood, or grass; / but of the passionate mind and foolish intellect, that longing for children and wives—
