utthānakāleṣu nihīnavīryo vācā balī tv ālasiko nirāśaḥ |
sadaiva saṃkalpahataḥ kusīdo jñānasya mārgaṃ satataṃ na vetti ||

Lacking energy at times to rise up, strong in words, but lazy, despondent, / always struck down by resolves, indolent, he never knows the path of knowledge.
