do not enter [upon it]. Those bodhisattvas do not seek unexcelled, perfect enlightenment out of compassion for all sentient beings; rather, those bodhisattvas who take hold of purely clean buddhakṣetras have abandoned compassion. Bodhisattvas who desire buddhakṣetras completely devoid of the vehicles of the śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas are not skilled in wisdom and intention. Those bodhisattvas who make aspirations such as, 'May I attain unexcelled, completely perfect enlightenment in a buddhakṣetra devoid of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, accompanied by roots of virtue, completely devoid of women, and completely devoid of the hells, animal realms, and the world of Yama! May I teach the Dharma to bodhisattvas who have genuinely entered the Mahāyāna solely through discourses of the Mahāyāna, completely devoid of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas! May I also have a long lifespan upon attaining enlightenment, remaining for a long time and teaching the Dharma for many kalpas to those whose intentions are pure, who are easy to tame, and who possess roots of virtue!'—such bodhisattvas are not skilled in wisdom and intention, nor should they be called 'bodhisattva mahāsattva.' Son of good family, then the Tathāgata Ratnagarbha extended his hand and radiated from his five fingers rays of light of various colors, many colors, hundreds of thousands of colors. Those rays of light traveled into immeasurable, countless, and infinite directions, illuminating buddhakṣetras. Now, there is a world system called 'Thumb-Sized' (Aṅguṣṭha). In that world system Thumb-Sized, humans have a lifespan of ten years, have poor complexions, are ugly, and are unwholesome.
