由此作禮真實言，即能遍禮十方佛，
右膝著地合爪掌，思惟說悔先罪業：
「我由無明所積集，身口意業造眾罪，
貪欲恚癡覆心故，於佛正法賢聖僧，
父母二師善知識，以及無量眾生所，
無始生死流轉中，具造極重無盡罪。
親對十方現在佛，悉皆懺悔不復作。」

By means of this true word of paying homage, / one is able to pay homage universally to the buddhas of the ten directions. / Placing the right knee on the ground and joining palms with crossed fingers, / contemplate and speak to repent prior sinful karma: / "Accumulated through my ignorance, / my karma of body, speech, and mind has committed many sins; / because greed, anger, and delusion covered my mind, / toward the Buddha, the true Dharma, and the Ārya Saṅgha, / toward parents, the two teachers, and spiritual friends, / as well as toward measureless sentient beings, / in beginningless transmigration of birth and death, / I have committed all extremely heavy and endless sins. / Directly facing the present buddhas of the ten directions, / I repent them all and will not commit them again."
