2.33

我北辰菩薩名曰妙見，今欲說神呪擁護諸國土，所作甚奇特，故名曰妙見。處於閻浮提，眾星中最勝，神仙中之仙、菩薩之大將，光目諸菩薩，曠濟諸群生。有大神呪名故奈波（晉言）擁護國土佐諸國王消災却敵莫不由之。

I, the Bodhisattva of the Northern Star, am named Miaojian (Wondrous Sight). Now I wish to proclaim a dhāraṇī spell to guard and protect all realms. Because what I accomplish is exceedingly marvelous and extraordinary, I am called Miaojian. Dwelling in Jambudvīpa, I am supreme among all the stars, an immortal among divine immortals, a great general among bodhisattvas, illuminating all bodhisattvas, vastly delivering all living beings. There is a great dhāraṇī spell called Gunaibo (in the language of Jin: [a spell that] guards and protects realms, aids all kings, dispels calamities, and repels enemies; none [of these] do not proceed from it).
