4.33

「我今作鬼王，得離三塗苦，
涉歷四天下，救諸病苦者。
憶念過去世，曾作人中王，
放逸著五欲，今受鬼王身。
又願人中王，謹慎莫放逸，
度脫諸眾生，普得涅槃樂。」

"Now that I am a spirit king, / I have escaped the suffering of the three bad destinies,
traversing the four continents / to save those who are sick and suffering.
I recall that in a past life / I was once a king among men,
indulging in heedlessness and clinging to the five desires, / and now I receive the body of a spirit king.
I further pray that kings among men / be cautious and not heedless,
ferrying across all sentient beings / so that all universally attain the bliss of nirvāṇa."
