3.79

我今作鬼王，得離三塗苦，
涉歷四天下，救諸病苦者。
憶念過去世，曾作天中王，
放逸著五欲，今受鬼王身。
又願人中王，謹慎不放逸，
度脫諸眾生，普得涅槃樂。

"Now that I am a ghost king,
I have escaped the suffering of the three wretched realms,
Traversing the four continents
To rescue those who are sick and suffering.
Remembering a past life,
I was once a king among devas;
Negligent and attached to the five desires,
I now receive the body of a ghost king.
I also wish that kings among men
Be cautious and not negligent,
Delivering all sentient beings
To universally attain the bliss of nirvāṇa."
