"I, Mañjuśrī, now wish to speak wondrous verses,
To cause this sūtra to circulate,
So that sentient beings will have no doubt in their minds.
The deep and wondrous Dharma spoken
By the assembly of the Seven Buddhas and bodhisattvas,
And the words of the devas, dragon kings, and spirits,
Are exceedingly extraordinary.
They purely explain the wondrous practices and mantras
To protect countries and practitioners;
Those who copy, read, and recite it
Will surely assemble with the thousand Buddhas.
Ākāśagarbha Bodhisattva
Now wishes to speak half a verse
In praise of those who copy it:
'As for those who copy, read, and recite it,
Extolling and passing on to others
The teachings of the sages and worthies mentioned above,
Their words are graceful and beautiful,
Wondrous and limitless.
Just like the water of the great ocean,
Immeasurably deep and vast,
The merit of this person
Surpasses that by a hundred million times.'"
