6.46

The Buddha said: "Now, venerable monk So-and-so has cut the Dharma robe saṃghāṭī. Pure in upholding the precepts, he has prepared needle and thread, and will now sew it together. May the great deities who arrange and protect the vinaya and the Four Heavenly Kings protect and assist So-and-so, so that demons and ghosts cannot lead him astray or bring disorder. When it is sewn together in proper order with thread treated according to the Dharma, may this monk swiftly grasp the wisdom of sarvajñā throughout lifetimes; may his resolve be firm and his conduct steadfast, his precepts without puncture or flaw, his awe-inspiring appearance radiant, and may the three realms be ferried across to liberation."
