"Whatever bhikṣuṇī is of an evil nature and difficult to speak with, training in the Prātimokṣa Sūtra together with the bhikṣuṇīs, frequently commits offenses; and when the bhikṣuṇīs admonish her for her offenses in accordance with the Dharma and the Vinaya, she answers: 'Ladies! Do not speak to me whether good or bad, and I too will not speak good or bad to you'—if the bhikṣuṇīs speak to her again: 'Do not make yourself impossible to speak with! You should speak in accordance with the Dharma to the bhikṣuṇīs, and the bhikṣuṇīs should also speak in accordance with the Dharma to you. Thus mutually instructing one another and mutually expiating offenses, the assembly of the Tathāgata is brought to fulfillment'—if when thus admonished she persists and will not desist, she should be admonished a second and a third time. If upon being admonished a second and a third time she desists from this matter, that is good; if she does not desist, that bhikṣuṇī, upon three admonitions, commits a saṅghāvaśeṣa requiring deśanā."
