用楊枝有五事：一者斷當如度、二者破當如法、三者嚼頭不得過三分、四者踈齒當中三嚙、五者當汁澡自用。

In using a tooth-stick, there are five matters: first, breaking it off must accord with the proper measure; second, splitting it must accord with the method; third, chewing the tip must not exceed three tenths; fourth, between sparse teeth, one should bite it three times; fifth, when juicy, one washes it and uses it oneself.
