事師有五事：一者當畏敬師、二者當隨師教誡、三者當隨順師意、四者當識師語、五者不得違師教。

In serving one's master there are five matters: first, one should revere and respect the master; second, one should follow the master's instructions and admonitions; third, one should comply with the master's intent; fourth, one should remember the master's words; fifth, one must not disobey the master's instructions.
